RIYADH: Saudi Health Minister Fahd AlJalajel met with his Italian counterpart, Prof. Orazio Schillaci, in Riyadh to discuss enhancing cooperation in the health sector.
The ministers commended the Saudi-Italian Strategic Partnership Council for promoting cooperation, particularly in the healthcare sector, and underlined the close bilateral connections between Saudi Arabia and Italy.
They underscored the importance of sharing expertise, engaging in joint research and innovation, and leveraging technologies used in Saudi Arabia’s Virtual Health Hospital.
Both sides also agreed to coordinate efforts in supporting global health security.
Prof. Schillaci toured the Virtual Health Hospital and the command-and-control center, where he commended the Kingdom’s digital healthcare advancements and notable achievements.
